Officials said that these 1.4 million charging piles can be charged through the Xiaomi Auto APP scanning code, of which 160,000 charging piles support plug-and-charge function, and the convenience of charging has been greatly improved. Up to now, Xiaomi’s charging network has covered 2,743continentDistricts and counties, 6,856 charging stations in high-speed service areas.
In addition, Xiaomi Auto also said that the measured success rate of Xiaomi YU7 in the compatibility of tripartite charging piles exceeded 99%, reaching the industry-leading level.
Previously, on April 28 this year, Xiaomi Auto announced that its charging network continued to expand, and at that time it had reached a charging network cooperation with 18 high-quality operators in the industry, with more than 1.26 million charging piles settled in Xiaomi’s charging map, covering 2,691 Chinese mainland districts and counties. Among them, there are 94,000 supercharging piles, 970,000 DC fast charging piles, and 6,221 charging stations in the service area.
In addition to reaching a charging and energy replenishment network cooperation with operators, in December 2024, Xiaomi Motors also launched charging and energy replenishment network cooperation with NIO, Xpeng Motors, and Li Auto.
This cooperation means that more than 14,000 NIO charging piles, more than 9,000 Xpeng charging piles, and more than 6,000 ideal charging piles have settled in the Xiaomi charging map, supporting real-time viewing of dynamic data in the charging map. However, the rights and interests of the three are still slightly different, Li Auto only supports some charging piles of Xiaomi Auto APP scanning code charging, and Xpeng charging piles support plug-and-charge services.
In terms of self-built energy replenishment network, although Xiaomi Auto has a layout, it has not been promoted on a large scale. In March 2024, Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, announced at the press conference of Xiaomi Auto that Xiaomi Auto is building its own supercharging network, and the first batch will be gradually promoted in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other cities, using a 600kW liquid-cooled supercharging solution.
However, in August of the same year, Lei Jun revealed that although Xiaomi has established some charging stations, there are no plans for large-scale construction. At present, the number of bus charging piles in China is sufficient, and Xiaomi Motors has promoted the improvement of hundreds of problems by testing 70,000 public charging piles.
At that time, he pointed out that Xiaomi’s current priority is to focus on automobile manufacturing and is committed to making Xiaomi SU7 the best compatibility and convenience with public charging pilesElectric vehicle。
In addition to public charging piles, Xiaomi has also launched home charging piles, known as “one-click lid opening, plug and charge”, and support OTA upgrades.
