A few days ago, the car quality network obtained a set of renderings of the new Jeep Cherokee from overseas media. The new car is the sixth generation model, based on the Stellantis Group’s STLA platform architecture, and will be equipped with a hybrid system. It is reported that the car may be unveiled in the fourth quarter of this year.
Judging from the renders exposed this time, the new Jeep Cherokee adopts a new family-style design language, which is quite similar to the Jeep Wagoneer S and the new Jeep Compass that have been launched. The iconic seven-hole front grille has been retained, and the side contours of the body are still familiar tough shapes. In addition, the taillight cluster at the rear of the car has a digital style, which is in line with the current fashion trend.
In terms of powertrain, it is officially confirmed that a hybrid version will be launched, which is homologous to the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio from the same platform. At the same time, the fuel version and the pure electric version are also planned, and the fuel version is expected to be equipped with a 3.0T twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder Hurricane engine with a maximum horsepower of 510Ps. The pure electric version will use a combination of dual motors + 100kWh battery pack, with a total horsepower of 600Ps. For more information about the new car, the car quality network will continue to pay attention to and report.
