Laser technology is widely used in communication and fields where precise measurements are required. This means they are essential for a variety of applications, including gas detection in the atmosphere, fiber optic internet, and autonomous vehicles.

Johann Riemensberger, associate professor at the Department of Electronic Systems at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, said: “The new research results promise to invent a new laser that is fast, inexpensive, powerful and easy to use. ”

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Luxtelligence SA and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) collaborated on the study.
