On June 27, Li Auto announced a new organizational structure adjustment and personnel appointment: the original “R&D and Supply Group” and “Sales and Service Group” were integrated into the newly established “Smart Car Group”, which is responsible for the strategic to operational closed-loop of Li Auto’s smart car business.

It is reported that President Ma Donghui will serve as the head of the smart car group and report to Chairman and CEO Li Xiang. Li Xiang will still be responsible for the product line, product department, brand, strategy and other teams related to the automotive business, and will devote more energy to the field of AI (artificial intelligence).

Regarding the organizational structure adjustment, Li Xiang, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said: “In order to undertake the new demand for organizational capabilities after Li Auto enters the scale of 100 billion yuan, and support the intelligent car business from strategy formulation to execution, we have adjusted the corporate organizational structure accordingly.” After the establishment of the intelligent car group group, it will more effectively support the user-oriented value creation, value transmission and operation closed loop through end-to-end operation and in-depth collaboration of R&D, supply, sales and service, and build a leading edge for the next stage for Li Auto. ”

According to public information, Ma Donghui succeeded Shen Yanan as president of Li Auto on January 1, 2023 and entered the board of directors, responsible for the R&D and supply group as a whole. He was responsible for the R&D and delivery of all models from the ideal ONE, L series to MEGA. Before joining Li Auto,Ma DonghuiHe served as the president of the research institute at Sany Heavy Industry Body Co., Ltd.

At the same time, Li Auto also announced today (June 27) that it has updated the company’s delivery outlook for the second quarter of 2025. The company now expects to deliver approximately 108,000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2025, compared to its previously announced delivery forecast of 123,000 to 128,000 vehicles, reflecting the short-term impact of the company’s long-term sales system upgrade. The company is confident that it will complete the organizational upgrade before the launch of the ideal i8 and meet the new product cycle with better organizational capabilities.

It is reported that the ideal i8 is positioned as a medium and large pure electric SUV. Previously, Li Xiang revealed that the car will be released in late July, and now the internal preparations for the production, training, delivery and other preparations of the ideal i8 have reached the final stage of preparation.
