Recently, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. took the initiative to submit a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the relevant requirements of the “Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products”, the “Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products” and the “Regulations on the Administration of Motor Vehicle Emission Recall”, aiming to solve the potential safety hazards and emission hazard risks caused by manufacturing defects.
It is reported that the recall involves a number of popular models of Guangqi Honda and Dongfeng Honda, with a total of more than 380,000 units, a huge scale and a wide range of influence.
As for Guangqi Honda, starting from August 31, 2025, it will recall some domestic gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions of ACCORD, INTEGRA, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of BREEZE, and hybrid versions of ZR-V series vehicles produced between June 28, 2022 and September 20, 2024, with a total of 240764 vehicles.
Dongfeng Honda plans to recall some domestic gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions of INSPIRE, hybrid HONDA HR-V, hybrid CIVIC, hybrid and plug-in hybrid CR-V series cars produced between February 10, 2022 and September 23, 2024 at the same time, a total of 139621 vehicles.

The reason for the recall points to a manufacturing defect in the internal parts of the high-pressure fuel pump. Due to stress concentration, these parts can crack, which in extreme cases can lead to fuel leakage, which not only poses a hidden danger to vehicle driving safety, but may also cause emission hazards to the environment.
In the face of this potential risk, Guangqi Honda and Dongfeng Honda responded quickly and decided to take measures to replace the improved high-pressure fuel pump free of charge to completely eliminate potential safety hazards and emission risks, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and driving safety.
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the recall, the two car companies have formulated detailed recall plans. They will directly notify vehicle users involved in the recall through registered mail and other means to ensure that every car owner can be informed of the recall information in a timely manner. At the same time, authorized special sales and service stores will also take the initiative to contact users and make an appointment for the specific time of recall and repair, so that the owner can reasonably arrange the time to send the vehicle to the designated location for maintenance.
