On June 25, 2025, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement at the headquarters of GAC Group in Panyu, marking a new chapter in collaborative innovation and integrated development in the field of public transportation. Feng Xingya, chairman and general manager of GAC Group, Qin Haining, chairman of Guangzhou Public Transport Group, and other senior executives of both sides witnessed the signing.

Up to now, the two sides have promoted cooperation in 39 key areas such as intelligent networking, travel services, and automotive industry chain, from the creation of intelligent networked bus scenarios to the collaboration of car travel business, effectively improving the service quality and operational efficiency of public transportation in Guangzhou, and continuing to make efforts in the fields of big data research and logistics operation services.
Feng Xingya said that the cooperation with Guangzhou Public Transport Group is an important measure for GAC Group to practice social responsibility and promote industrial upgrading. In the future, GAC Group will give full play to its advantages in automobile research and development, manufacturing, service and other fields, establish a more efficient cooperation, communication and coordination mechanism, and cooperate with Guangzhou Public Transport Group in more fields to jointly explore innovative travel solutions.
Qin Haining pointed out that GAC Group and Guangzhou Public Transport Group have a deep relationship, strong industrial complementarity, and huge cooperation space and potential. The first batch of 1,700 customized cruise taxis in 2025 was also held at the event site. These new taxis are equipped with intelligent network technology and active safety configurations, which will greatly improve operational efficiency and passenger experience.
