A few days ago, the car quality network learned from relevant channels that the official picture of the new Suzuki Alto was officially released. The new car is a mid-term facelift version of the ninth-generation model, positioned as a 5-door and 4-seater mini car. The new car is scheduled to be launched in the Japanese market on July 22, with a starting price of 1,142,900 yen, or about 56,000 yuan.
As a mid-term facelift model, the new car is mainly optimized for the details of the front face, canceling the closed front grille of the old model and changing to a traditional style design, the headlight cluster still maintains a polygonal rounded corner design, and the front license plate installation position retains the non-centered layout with the characteristics of this generation of Alto. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 3395mm*1475mm*1525mm, the wheelbase is 2460mm, and the interior adopts a 4-seat layout.
The interior design of the new car is basically the same as that of the current model, with a symmetrical layout of the center console, a shift lever integrated above the center console, and a through-floor between the front main/co-pilot. In terms of configuration, the new car provides a 7-inch central control screen and adds a new Suzuki Connect interconnection function, which can remotely control the air conditioner through a mobile phone. In terms of safety features, the new car comes standard with a collision mitigation brake system, which uses millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera to detect vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles and motorcycles, as well as vehicles at intersections. Other standard safety features include low-speed brake assist (forward/reverse), lane departure warning and front parking radar.
In terms of power, the new car continues to be equipped with a 0.66L three-cylinder engine and a 0.66L petrol-electric hybrid system. Among them, the 0.66L engine has a maximum power of 34kW, the 0.66L gasoline-electric hybrid system engine has a maximum power of 36kW, and the electric motor has a power of 1.9kW. In terms of transmission, the new car is equipped with a CVT continuously variable transmission, and both power systems are available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
