On July 24, Leapmotor launched its new pure electric sedan product, Leapmotor B01, which is officially positioned as a “high-quality smart car for young people”. The new car is available in a total of 6 configuration models, with a price range of 89,800 yuan to 119,800 yuan, and three CLTC range options of 430 km, 550 km and 650 km.
B01, low price and high configuration
The Leapmotor B01 has smooth body lines and a drag coefficient of 0.197Cd. The front face through-type LED light strip and split headlights form a sense of technology, and the lower rectangular light cluster is integrated with the closed grille, and the overall shape is simple. The hidden door handles and slip-back corner design on the side of the body take into account aerodynamics and rear space, and the wheelbase is 2735mm with an 86% room rate, providing a spacious riding experience. The rear aerodynamic duck tail and blackened through-type taillight cluster enhance the sporty temperament.
The new car offers 8 paint options, including personalized colors such as “Morgan Pink” jointly developed with Pantone. In terms of size, the length of the car is 4770mm and the wheelbase is 2735mm, which achieves the space performance of the B-class car under the size of the A-class car.
In terms of interior, the new car creates a sense of hierarchy through geometric hollowing and suspension design. The dual-color-blocked interior of Magic Moon Purple and Fiber Cloud Gray, with a two-color flat-bottomed steering wheel, strengthens the technological atmosphere. In terms of material, a large area of soft cover covers piano paint trim and matte metal material to enhance the sophistication.
The core of the Leapmotor B01 cockpit is a 14.6-inch 2.5K resolution central control screen, equipped with a Qualcomm 8295 cockpit chip. The system runs Leapmotor OS 4.0, which provides “3D smart desktop”, “one shot to the end” interactive design and split-screen mode. The AI voice assistant integrates DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen dual models, supporting multi-intent commands, dialect recognition, continuous dialogue of up to 60 seconds, and “Wensheng Map” function. The new car is also equipped with a “zero motion space” scene customization function, which supports users to combine more than 200 atomic abilities to create personalized scenes.
The LiDAR version of the model is equipped with a Qualcomm 8650 chip and lidar. The driver assistance system is named Leapmotor Pilot, which provides high-speed pilot assist, commuter pilot assist and self-developed parking memory parking (HPA) function. The HPA function allows the vehicle to learn parking routes up to 1 km and supports remote parking through a mobile app. The whole series is equipped with 360° panoramic images and transparent chassis functions as standard, and the sentry mode will be provided through OTA upgrades in the future.
In terms of power, it is available in three endurance versions of 430km, 550km and 650km, with a seven-in-one oil-cooled electric drive assembly and a rear-mounted rear-wheel drive layout, with a maximum power of 160kW and an acceleration of 6.4 seconds per 100 kilometers. The chassis is jointly tuned by Leapmotor and Stellantis Group, using front MacPherson + rear five-link independent suspension, with CTC 2.0 Plus battery chassis integration technology to improve handling stability.
In terms of energy consumption, official data shows that the fastest time to charge SOC from 30% to 80% is 18 minutes, and the power consumption per 100 kilometers is 11.4kWh. It is equipped with a 27-in-1 super integrated thermal management system and an ultra-wide temperature range heat pump air conditioner.

From January to June 2025, Leapmotor delivered a total of 221,700 units, a year-on-year increase of 138%, ranking first among China’s new power brands for four consecutive months. Among them, sales in March were 37,000 units, exceeding 48,000 units in June, showing a strong growth trend. In terms of exports, the cumulative export from January to May exceeded 17,200 units, covering many international markets such as Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
The steady rise in sales is inseparable from Leapmotor’s long-term investment and accumulation in the field of core technology. Leapmotor achieves a highly integrated design with a global self-developed technology architecture (LEAP 3.5), and self-developed and self-manufactured accounts for 65% of the vehicle cost. In 2025, it plans to launch a number of new models, improve the product matrix, and accelerate the globalization process: establish an international joint venture with Stellantis Group, plan to establish 500 sales outlets in Europe, and gradually implement localized production in Malaysia and other places.
